Victims First Specialist Service

Available across the Thames Valley

The Victims First Specialist Service provides specialist support for victims and witnesses of crime including rape and sexual abuse, exploitation and modern slavery and can provide Restorative Justice services.

The service helps those with longer term or more complex needs and focuses on the individual and the impact the crime has had on them, regardless of the crime they have experienced.

Thames Valley Partnership is delivering the service across the Thames Valley, working in partnership with Oxford Sexual Abuse and Rape Crisis Centre (OSARCC) and Trust House Reading.

The support will be provided by specialist Independent Sexual Violence Advisers (ISVAs), Restorative Justice Practitioners, Exploitation Specialists and staff with other relevant specialist skills and knowledge. Support includes trauma-informed interventions in individual or group settings, advocacy support including help to access mental health or drug and alcohol services, restorative justice conferencing, as well as practical and emotional support to navigate the criminal justice process.

If you would like to get support for yourself or someone else you can do so by calling us or completing our online referral form.
